Four Days/Three Nights
Must be ages 10-15 years old by first day of camp
What does an engineer look like? An engineer looks like you!
Engineering camp focuses on innovation and invention. Campers will be immersed in the engineering design process as they work in teams to design, build, and demonstrate their own super power. Campers will also participate in extensive space mission training, team competitions, engineering activities, and robotics. They will experience “weightlessness training” at I-Fly, an indoor skydiving trainer in Ogden. Campers will go on one or more field trips to ATK, Ben Lomond High pool, Weber State Planetarium, or Hill Aerospace Museum.
During multiple 2-hour Missions to Mars, students will participate in a spacewalk, control a Mars rover, choose landing sites, run status checks, monitor spacecraft systems, and handle medical emergencies.
There will be a graduation ceremony where each student who completes the program will receive a graduation certificate and camp mission patch. One team will be honored as the camp’s Top Team and receive a special certificate and mission patch. One student from each team will also be selected by their teammates to receive the prestigious All Star award. Parents and family members are invited to attend the graduation ceremony.
